Journal Your Christmas - 4th & 5th December

Here two JYC pages the 4th - A perfect Christmas and the 5th the countdown! The 4th the perfect Christmas I decided to go for 'my dreamy Christmas to make it different from other pages! And the 5th - the countdown I decided to go for an advent calender sort of page the number of days till things on the front on the little windows and then underneath say until .... the events that are happening & the title is 'it's the final countdown' - the song ... it's the final countdown dun dun dun dun nan nan nan nan nan! Well that's the chorus ... well kind of!!
Hope you like the pages!! x

Journal Your Christmas - 2nd December

Here's my 2nd page - Winter weather. I didn't add any journalling or a title so there's a mistake but I was thinking about adding a pocket on the back of the page, with a journalling card in it that you and pull out and push back in again. But I'm still thinking about it!!

Journal Your Christmas - 1st December

Christmas is coming and is time to JYC - a course which Shimelle runs each Christmas. This is the first year in the running, mums been doing it for two years so this will be her third year of journalling her Christmas so I guess I picked it up from there!

I've been of school for two days because of the snow and ice so I took the days to complete my JYC numbers and December 1st! So here is December 1st's page - Manifesto!! Which reads - I promise to keep this Christmas journal everyday over the festive season so that I can look back on this season and remember it all, even the small stuff, but mostly the big, together with my 13th birthday on the 20th!!

Guides International Fun Day

Hello Everyone,

I went to a International Fun Day with Guides today, completed 10 different Christmas activities:
Made a Swedish House, 'White Christmases' Australian Christmas cakes, igloos on biscuits (marsh mellows, digestives and icing), Corkscrew Rudolph the Reindeer, Wreath (Made out of a curtain hanger hook thingy and ribbon), Snow globes which had Reindeer from Norway, Clay (for Diwali - festival of light), Knitting kinda thing!?! and a Christmas card - which is really cool if I must say!). There must be one more but just can't remember what it is...

Also, when we came in whilst we were waiting for the other guides to turn up we has to complete a quiz - we had 28 different languages that all say Merry Christmas and we had to work out which language was which. But guess what I got them all right!! Yay!!

And just realised that my 13th birthday is now only 1 month away! Yay! xx

Journal Your Christmas - Album cover & Title Page

I am all organised and have made my title page and decorated my cover for JYC. This is the first year in the running and hopefully it will turn out well, (We'll have to see). For my album I've gone for a 12x12, (TKMaxx is so good! I got this album and also another 12x12 album for True stories!) but I've added and 8x8 title page (and 1st December) and a 6x6 page for I think the 6th & 7th December.

The album had a little picture hole so instead of a photo I put the right size Christmas card and stuck 'JYC 10' on the plastic (but obsessive compulsive disorder it has to have an equal white border round the card!)

The title page its 8x8 and has lots of little Christmassy pictures like teddies, nutcrackers, Christmas tree etc and added American Craft Thickers, ribbon and a brad! I've just done the basic but I think it's quite effective, (but that's my opinion!!).

Only 19 days!!

LSNED 2010

Mum is a Shimelle fanatic, she signed up this year's Learn Something New Every Day 2010 course.

So I decided to have ago myself, this is my front cover (First Picture) and mine and mum's album covers (Second Picture).

Shimelle's sends prompts each day in September and makes you think of one thing you have learnt every day!

I've already prepared 9 pages, incase I don't have enough time after school, to make a page from scratch.

I can't wait for it to start!

School Holiday - Week One

This week I've been going to work with my mum and helping her out. On Friday 30th, I took some wrapping paper to make bunting at for the Tillingham Flower Show On Saturday and as we were walking to work, The small sheet of wrapping paper flew into the road, so I stepped into the road but the wind picked up and it blew to the round-about, but there were so many cars, mum said to leave it. But then the traffic suddenly went dead, so I ran across the road to the round-about and got it, and then obviously ran back.
Anyway, On Saturday we had to get up early to get to the Flower show, so we got a good spot. We had to put a gazibo up in high wind and rain. Anyway, when it opened it was so quiet, And my brother kept moaning, saying - He wanted to go home as it was so boring!! But we stayed and it picked up and we ending up taking more than we expected!!

These are a few pictures of our stand, on Saturday:

Monster Faces! x

Today, I made some Vanilla Muffins that used 5 egg whites!! They are really nice but instead of just icing them I made scary monster faces on them! Some of them ven have freckles - so their not really that scary!! But they really do taste nice!

Sugar Cookies! x

Shimelle Laine posted a link for these cookies and Mummy thought we'd have a go at making them. When it came to sprinkling the salt, I wondered why salt on a biscuit? But when I tried the biscuit I realised it tied it all together! They were the best biscuits ever! If you want to try these biscuits, I've attached the link at the bottom of the page!!
